VideoQ Products Use Cases

1. Automated Video Transcoding Workflow Monitoring & Control:

VQPT Modules run in the cloud and measure a media package in a variety of files formats at the workflow input point (for intake QC and transcoder settings optimization purposes), as well as at few more points, up to the workflow output (Output QC)

VQPT Modules generate uniformly structured machine-readable VQPT Reports and human-readable VQPT Plots, containing the media package technical parameters, such as media format info, image geometry, A & V levels, clip segmentation, frames cadence, image sharpness, captions reading speed, etc.
Collectively, VQPT Reports & Plots form a uniformly structured Media Ambit ™ metadata set of the given media package. This set can be used immediately for fast diagnostic/debugging and/or stored in the database for archiving and statistical analysis.

VQPT increases human operator productivity by an order of magnitude, because only small number of difficult cases requires human operator involvement. For such cases VQCP player provides VQPT Reports visual presentation and VQV provides deep image distortions analysis.

2. Video Processing Chain Integrity & Performance, QA/QC & Benchmarking:

VQMA Test Pattern signal/data in a variety of formats played out by VideoQ or 3rd party generator sent thru the player / transmission / transcoding / processing chain(s) under test.
The processing chain output (and optionally intermediate test points) signal/data, captured by VideoQ or 3rd party tools, analyzed by VQMA Software Analyzer.

VQMA Report (containing output image geometry parameters, signal levels, frequency response, noise strength, etc.) is used immediately for fast diagnostic/debugging and/or stored in a database for archiving and statistical analysis.

3. Video Cameras Factory  QA/QC:

VQMA-C Optical Test Chart image captured by the camera under test. The camera’s output signals, captured by VideoQ or 3rd party tools, analyzed by VQMA Software Analyzer.

VQMA Report (containing output image geometry parameters, signal levels, frequency response, noise strength, etc.) is used immediately for fast diagnostic/debugging and/or stored in a database for archiving and statistical analysis.

4. Video Processing Chain Audio & Video Latency and AV Sync Errors QA/QC:

VQDM Dynamic AV Test Pattern signal/data played out by VideoQ or 3rd party generator sent thru the transmission / transcoding / processing / display chain(s) under test, and analyzed by VQDM Software Analyzer.

VQDM Report containing absolute A & V propagation delays (latency) and relative delays (AV Sync errors) parameters, is used immediately for fast diagnostic/debugging and/or stored in a database for archiving and statistical analysis.

5. Subjective Assessment of Image and Sound Quality:

VQL Static & Dynamic AV Test Patterns signal/data played out by VideoQ or 3rd party generator sent thru the transmission / transcoding / processing / display chain(s) under test in a variety of formats.

The resulting subjective image and sound quality is assessed at some test points by a skilled operator or not so skilled user.
